WE DO THIS BECAUSE IT BRINGS US GENUINE JOY TO PLACE PEOPLE PROPERLY – WE’RE NOT RECRUITING JUST FOR PROFIT BUT FOR PURPOSE. WE DONATE 10% NET PROFIT EACH MONTH INTO OUR CHARITABLE HEART OF THE BUSINESS VISION, WHICH SUPPORTS HOMELESS AND DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE TO HELP GET THEM BACK ON THEIR FEET.
WHAT WAS YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE AS A START-UP?
My biggest challenge was the fear factor, not knowing what lay ahead and risking everything in the hope it would take off. Thankfully it did, luckily my faith helped with that, as did Entrepreneurial Spark.
A GROWTH MINDSET IS
…being always willing to learn, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and being open to new ideas and opportunities ahead. I think faith plays a big part here too, whether that be in yourself or something bigger.
ENTREPRENEURIAL SPARK IS
…a fantastic programme that I am truly blessed to be a part of, I feel like I am part of a family, a community. The programme develops and challenges me as an entrepreneur whilst giving me access to Enablers, mentors and a great network. I’m privileged to be a part of it and I hope to maintain relationships in the future.
THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING AN ENTREPRENEUR IS
…I’ll be completely authentic here, yes it’s great having the freedom to ‘do as I please’ and to be ‘paving the way’ but it can be lonely at times, which is why Entrepreneurial Spark have acted as that support system I really needed. This has given me the confidence in my ability to Lead and has put me around other entrepreneurs experiencing the same emotions. It’s also working towards a bigger vision and purpose, which makes what I do extremely fulfilling and rewarding. As my profits go back into charitable causes, I genuinely believe we are making an impact.
THE ONE THING I’VE LEARNT IS
…it’s hard to pick just one thing, during the past year I have learned so much not just about building a business but about myself too. I’ve learned to let go of control and have fun a little, to enjoy the whole journey and not always be aiming just for the ‘destination’.
